Counter-Drone Interceptor Platforms

Counter-Drone Interceptor Platforms

Autonomous drone interceptors (hunter drones) that detect, track, and physically neutralize threat drones. This approach solves the authorization problem for critical infrastructure: kinetic capture by an interceptor drone does not require the same RF/cyber authorizations as jamming — though legal frameworks vary.

Important legal note: In the US, deploying kinetic countermeasures (including interceptor drones) against civilian aircraft (which includes unauthorized drones) requires careful legal analysis. Some interpretations of federal aviation law restrict this to authorized federal operators. Infrastructure operators should obtain legal review before deploying kinetic C-UAS.
